A 3000 Series E-Crane has been delivered to the Port of Coeymans, USA, a milestone for Carver Industries. This E-Crane is a versatile powerhouse, perfectly suited for handling a wide range of bulk materials such as scrap, sand, gravel, salt, and construction aggregates. It greatly expands the operational capabilities of the Port of Coeymans.
The Port of Coeymans is located just south of Albany, New York and is a privately owned, full-service marine terminal operated by Carver Companies. Strategically positioned on the Hudson River, the port spans 450 acres and is purpose-built to handle bulk materials, heavy-lift cargo and large scale modular construction.
Carver already operated three floating E-Cranes along the U.S. East Coast. With this new addition, the possibilities at Port of Coeymans grow significantly. Weighing over 500 tons, the crane boasts a 40-meter outreach and is mounted on a unique triple-track crawler undercarriage — two of which are steerable — offering perfect weight distribution and exceptional manoeuvrability.
Beyond boosting barge turnaround speed, this E-Crane enables direct unloading of Handy and Panamax vessels — no vessel cranes required — unlocking new market potential.
The crane handles precision tasks with ease, even with its massive 30m³ salt grab, allowing direct loading of dump trucks. It’s also equipped with a 13m³ scrap grab and a special tool for handling scrap skips.
Together with Carver’s existing E-Crane fleet, state-of-the-art equipment, numerous barges, and tugboats, this new addition reinforces Carver Industries’ position as the go-to one-stop shop for maritime services and support.
E?Crane offer tailor-made solutions to meet needs for high productivity and reliable handling of scrap, grain, coal, cement clinker, or any other bulk material, while striving to optimise operation, increase efficiency, and lower costs.
E?Crane Worldwide is a heavy equipment design and construction company based in Belgium, with subsidiary companies in The Netherlands and in the USA. The company has been providing reliable solutions for the past 20 years to the recycling and bulk handling industries. With a global network of agents, offering local support from certified E?Crane service engineers.
