During the Tay Ninh E-Commerce and Export-Import Supply Chain Networking Forum 2025, Long An International Port (Tay Ninh, Vietnam) signed two friendship agreements with the Port of Portland (USA) and the Port of Gothenburg (Sweden). This marks an important milestone in the port’s commitment to international integration while expanding maritime trade and logistics networks between Vietnam and major global seaports.
Long An International Port currently operates seven berths with a total length of 1,670 meters, capable of accommodating vessels up to 70,000 DWT. In the near future, the port will expand to 9nineberths, extending its continuous berth length to 2,368 meters, receiving vessels of over 100,000 DWT,
The conference, directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province, was jointly organised by the International Market Development Department and Tay Ninh Department of Industry and Trade. The event gathered nearly 600 delegates, including senior officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tay Ninh provincial authorities, relevant departments and associations, and domestic and international enterprises.
Located in Vietnam’s Southern Key Economic Region, bordering Ho Chi Minh City and sharing an international boundary with Cambodia, Tay Ninh has emerged as a modern hub for industry, services, and urban development. The province stands out for its growth in industrial production, high-tech agriculture, trade, and tourism, while serving as a strategic international gateway for Southeast Vietnam. It connects production, consumption, and logistics flows between the Mekong Delta and the Southeast region, reinforcing its role as a vital trade corridor.
In recent years, Tay Ninh has leveraged its advantages to boost commercial growth and services by enhancing the quality and effectiveness of trade promotion activities, strengthening business linkages, and tapping both domestic and export markets. The province has actively fostered partnerships to expand distribution channels, support enterprises in supply–demand matching, brand development, and market expansion.
Representing Dongtam Group at the conference, Mr. Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Long An Port, presented the port’s comprehensive, integrated, and sustainable development ecosystem. He emphasized the port’s strategic role in directly linking Vietnam into global supply chains, providing end-to-end logistics solutions, and creating value through reduced delivery lead times, lower operational risks, optimised costs, and enhanced competitiveness in international markets.
“As Tay Ninh continues to advance its industries, the Mekong Delta leverages its flourishing agricultural and aquatic output, and Long An International Port strengthens its role as the gateway of the Southeast, our connectivity will establish strategic pillars of development, boost regional growth, and support Vietnam’s Strategy for the Development of Logistics Services to 2030 with a vision to 2050, advancing a logistics sector that is sustainable, efficient, high quality, and internationally connected,” Mr. Huy said.
As part of the event, Long An Port concluded two agreements with the Port of Portland and the Port of Gothenburg. These agreements signal a long-term cooperative relationship, laying the foundation for strategic partnerships that leverage port resources, foster mutual development, and use friendly exchanges as a bridge to further negotiations on broader areas of collaboration.
