Last month was an exciting time for the IMGS team who had a very challenging assignment with the World Food Programme (the food-assistance branch of the United Nations) in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa. IMGS supervised and executed a massive logistics operation that saw the discharge of a very large quantity of Bagged Rice for WFP to aid their efforts in ending hunger in the region.
IMGS provides innovative and economical cargo handling solutions globally. Operating for over 30 years in the most diverse geographic and operational conditions, our teams are experienced and offer customized solutions for all cargo handling issues.
IMGS successfully provided strategic logistical assistance by planning and executing the discharge of the bagged cargo in the fastest and most efficient manner possible. Expediting the discharge of the cargo was followed by Warehousing and Inland Trucking. This was made possible with the help of IMGS's experienced and highly trained logistics experts, Master Mariners and its award-winning, top-of-the-line cargo handling equipment.
All the stakeholders were highly impressed by IMGS's easy to access, customer friendly approach. It was a clean operation with no spillages or shortages and the team received praise for the focused teamwork in getting the call done under the added pressure of bad weather and keeping labour pilferage under control.
