Grupo Servicios Marítimos (GSM), in partnership with Neuero, has delivered a groundbreaking solution for Argentina’s grain export logistics: the CombiFlexiport CF1000, a floating grain terminal designed to overcome the critical challenges of declining water levels in the Paraná River.
Since 1914, Neuero has been a leading manufacturer of mechanical and plant engineering and is a specialist for pneumatic ship unloading and mechanical ship loading.
Installed on the 30,000 dwt barge Grisel N, the CF1000 integrates a pneumatic ship-unloader, commercial bulk scale, and shiploader into one mobile platform, enabling full loading of Panamax vessels even in low-draught conditions. This innovation helps reduce underloaded voyages—previously 15–35% below capacity—thereby cutting freight costs and boosting export efficiency.
Key Components:
Significant engineering enhancements were required to reinforce the Grisel N barge and ensure seamless operation of all systems in challenging river environments. Kick-in/kick-out and mobile gantry mechanisms provide additional flexibility during transfer operations.
"This project is a milestone in offshore grain logistics," said Monica Navarro, CEO of GSM. “With Neuero’s expertise, we’ve created a resilient, high-performance system that helps Argentina stay competitive despite changing river conditions.”
The CombiFlexiport CF1000 sets a new benchmark for floating transshipment technology—combining efficiency, precision, and adaptability to ensure Argentina's grain exports continue to thrive.
Neuero follows the “Made in Germany” tradition with more than 100 years of activity in the production of reliable and individualised conveyor systems.
