The Swedish Club have announced that it is strengthening its management team to match the pace of its strategic ambitions and to ensure it is well-prepared for the future. Effective 1 January 2026, three senior appointments will join the Club's Management Team:
The expansion reflects The Swedish Club’s commitment to building leadership capacity in the areas most vital to its future success: commercial performance, strategic foresight, reputation and sustainability.
The new positions are designed to help the Club scale while maintaining its strong member focus. By bringing in leaders across commercial growth, corporate strategy and innovation, and strategic communications and sustainability, the Club aims to seize new business opportunities, sharpen its direction, and embed sustainability as a core driver of resilience — all while safeguarding value, building trust and bolstering its reputation.
Thomas Nordberg, Managing Director of The Swedish Club, said “We are entering an exciting new chapter. To continue delivering value to our members while seizing new opportunities, we need a management structure that is both robust and forward-focused. These new appointments strengthen our ability to innovate, to tell our story, and to connect with members and partners around the world.”
The New Appointments:
Fredrik Bergqvist will lead commercial growth, distribution, and market development. Acting as the Club’s commercial ambassador, he will strengthen broker and member relationships, ensuring The Swedish Club continues to expand and create value across global markets.
Pauline Hermansson will guide the Club’s strategic direction with a strong focus on innovation, digitalisation, and organisational optimisation. Her role will ensure The Swedish Club is ready to adapt and lead in a rapidly changing business environment.
Caroline Pennings will drive the Club’s communications, marketing, and corporate affairs activities, while embedding sustainability at the heart of the operating model. Her work will safeguard The Swedish Club’s license to operate and strengthen engagement with members, partners, and stakeholders.
With this expansion, The Swedish Club is signalling its readiness to build on its business momentum, unlock new market opportunities, and future-proof the organisation.
