Procureship, the maritime industry’s leading e-procurement platform provider, has recently welcomed more than a dozen major shipowners from across Asia and the Middle East to its platform as part of its global expansion into leading shipping hubs beyond Europe.
Since launching its operations in Singapore at the end of 2023, Procureship has continued to expand its presence in vital maritime regions as it looks to provide its award-winning e-procurement platform to shipping companies that are increasingly turning to automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies in their procurement departments to meet growing demand and quickly adapt to market changes.
Over the past 18 months, Procureship has welcomed multiple new shipowners from Singapore, as well as India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Some of the leading Asian shipowners now using the Procureship platform include BW Group (Singapore), Angelicoussis Group – Maran Ship Supplies (Singapore), Suntech Ship Management (Singapore), MTT Shipping (Malaysia) and Great Eastern Shipping (India).
Meanwhile, Procureship has also expanded its footprint in the Middle East with new users in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Globally, Procureship now has more than 110 shipowners and operators from 21 countries using its e-procurement platform to drive the effectiveness of their procurement procedures and make more data-led decisions in order to minimise costs, reduce their carbon footprint and enhance their operational efficiencies.
“Since establishing its presence in Singapore, Procureship now has a solid foundation in the Asia-Pacific maritime market, with a growing number of users actively using our platform on a daily basis to support their managed vessels around the world,” said Gary Yeow, Head of Sales APAC at Procureship.
“Procureship continues to assist global shipping companies in their procurement needs by giving them access to an international market of more than 10,000 maritime parts and service providers alongside a 98% automated purchase flow that utilises advanced Machine Learning and digital technologies.
“Our growth in Asia and the Middle East is a direct result of Procureship’s core approach to offering innovative and modern procurement solutions that our users need to support their daily procurement operations, combined with our decade-long experience in understanding the complexities of modern shipping supply chains,” he added.
Established in 2016, Procureship is an innovative e-procurement platform based in Athens, Greece, with regional offices in Denmark and Singapore. The company manages a network of trusted suppliers across all major ports and regions, connecting them to over 110 buyers representing over 2,600 globally trading merchant vessels.
