ADM, a global leader in innovative solutions from nature, and Bacres Grain, managed by Group Solum, have announced an agreement for ADM to purchase and market corn, soybeans and wheat delivered to the Bacres elevator in Alvinston, Ontario.
Bacres Grain will continue to own and operate the elevator. Through the partnership, growers who deliver to Alvinston will have access to ADM's processing, logistics, and export networks across Ontario and internationally, giving them more options when it comes to where and how their grain is sold.
"We're pleased to work with Bacres Grain to expand opportunities for growers in southwestern Ontario," said Chad Quinlan, ADM's Ontario grain trading manager. "ADM's processing and logistics networks help connect farmers to new markets around the world, and we look forward to working with farmers in and around Alvinston to market their grain and strengthen their businesses."
"Partnering with ADM is something we're genuinely proud of," said Michaela Tessemaker, general manager, Group Solum. "Bacres Grain has always been committed to the farmers in this region, and this agreement is a direct extension of that. We're expanding what we can offer, and we're doing it alongside one of the strongest names in the grain business."
The arrangement takes effect this October. Farmers interested in delivering corn, soybeans or wheat to the Alvinston elevator, or looking for information on pricing and contracts, can contact:
