NGFA applauds Senate confirmation of USDA Under Secretaries

(Posted on 22/09/25)

The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) has commended the U.S. Senate for confirming three key nominees to serve as Under Secretaries at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA): Dudley Hoskins for Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP), Richard Fordyce for Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC), and Scott Hutchins for Research, Education, and Economics (REE).

“Each of these leaders brings deep experience, policy expertise, and a proven commitment to U.S. agriculture,” said NGFA President and CEO Mike Seyfert. “Their leadership will strengthen USDA’s ability to serve farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses, while advancing fair, science-based policies that support America’s competitiveness in the global marketplace. They also understand both the opportunities and challenges facing U.S. agriculture today and the importance of kick-starting the rural economy. NGFA and our members look forward to working with them as they take on these critical roles.”

NGFA praised the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee for promptly considering these nominations and commended the Senate for confirming all three.

Since 1896, NGFA has advanced the success of America’s grain, feed, processing, and export industry through advocacy, training, communication, and education. NGFA’s approximately 700 member companies span the agricultural supply chain, including country elevators, feed mills, exporters, merchandisers, futures brokers, end users, and allied industries that support the industry.
