The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) has commended the U.S. Senate for confirming Luke Lindberg as undersecretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
NGFA, founded in 1896, is a broad-based, non-profit trade association that represents and provides services for grain, feed and related commercial businesses. Its activities focus on enhancing the growth and economic performance of U.S. agriculture.
“Luke Lindberg brings a strong record of advancing U.S. agricultural exports and forging new market opportunities for American agribusiness,” said NGFA President and CEO Mike Seyfert. “His confirmation comes at a critical time, and we look forward to working with him to strengthen U.S. trade relationships, reduce unfair barriers to market access, and ensure that American grain, feed, and processing companies remain competitive in the global marketplace.”
Lindberg previously served as chief of staff and chief strategy officer at the Export-Import Bank of the United States and has held key roles in promoting U.S. exports and international engagement. His background in both public service and the private sector positions him well to advocate for U.S. agriculture on the world stage.
“Expanding access to foreign markets is vital to the success of NGFA members and the broader agricultural economy,” Seyfert added. “We welcome Undersecretary Lindberg’s leadership and are eager to collaborate on initiatives that promote fair, science-based trade and long-term export growth.”
NGFA has long advocated for a robust and proactive USDA trade mission and applauded the Senate’s bipartisan action to fill this important role.
