Zhejiang Seaport Group and Columbia Group Limited have signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding Mr.Mark O’Neil, CEO and President of Columbia Group, and Mr. Zhu Miao, Director, and General Manager of Zhejiang Seaport Group and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Mr. Demetris Chrysostomou, CEO of Columbia Group Asia, and Mr. Ni Yanbo, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Seaport Group, as well as representatives from relevant functional departments and subsidiaries of both sides, attended the signing ceremony.
According to the memorandum, both sides will leverage their respective strengths and industrial advantages from a global and strategic perspective, establishing a comprehensive and multi-level partnership focused on finance, maritime services, and joint international investment.
During the symposium, Mr. O’Neil expressed gratitude for Zhejiang Seaport’s trust and support for Columbia Group.
He stated, “Zhejiang Seaport Group possesses high-quality port resources and strong capabilities in investment and trade, which coupled with Columbia Group’s group wide capabilities in the maritime sector, presents a golden opportunity for both parties to deepen cooperation in the sustainable management of assets, and international investment, jointly building a new pattern of synergistic growth for purposeful impact to the maritime community.”
Mr. Zhu quoted: “Columbia Group, as a world-leading maritime service provider, has profound technical expertise and an extensive resource network. I look forward to using this strategic cooperation as a new starting point to continuously expand the scale and enhance the quality of collaboration, jointly exploring sustainable cooperation models.”
Separately, Mr. Zhu has invited Columbia Group to attend the prestigious 2026 Maritime Silk Road Forum to discuss new opportunities for port and shipping development, which Mr. Mark O’Neil was honoured to accept.
On that day, witnessed by Mr. O’Neil and Mr. Zhu, Columbia Group’s subsidiary company - Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. - and its affiliated companies signed several substantive project agreements with Zhejiang Seaport Financial Leasing Co., Ltd, covering ship management and shipyard certification, and competency building.
The next day, Mark O'Neil and his delegation also visited the group's exhibition hall and the Dispatching and Command Center of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.
