Marek Kowalski, former Chief Executive of Polish shipping agency, Interbalt, has launched shipping and logistics consultancy and advisory company, EUBALTICA.
The new company based in Sopot, located between the port cities of Gdansk and Gdynia, has a broad scope of activities including: consulting activity in the field of business and management; logistics and forwarding consultancy related to the turnover of goods in sea, rail and car transport; representation of client entities in the field of international transhipment and storage of goods; consultancy related to the operation of a ships agency and chartering of ships.
Poland has benefited from economic success and growth in recent years and EUBALTICA is well placed to take advantage in its role as adviser to shipping companies. Kowalski himself has a wealth of personal experience in shipping and logistics, particularly releating to the handling of bulk cargoes.
Including his years at Weglokoks, from which Interbalt originated, Kowalski has 40 years’ experience in the industry. During his time with Interbalt, the company expanded activities from logistic services and coal forwarding in ports to include the provision of brokerage services to vessels in Polish seaports and shipyards, comprehensive forwarding and logistic services relating to maritime and land transport, consultancy, agency and representation of operators, as well as the wholesale and retail sale of coal.
