ESL Shipping has taken a significant step forward in digitalisation by deploying a new multichannel internet system across its fleet. The solution, delivered by Pentonet, leverages Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology and mobile networks to deliver robust, high-speed communications at sea. The solution is independent of any single service provider, ensuring flexibility and future scalability.
ESL Shipping is a leading carrier of dry bulk cargoes in the Baltic region.
The initiative marks a milestone in ESL Shipping’s long-term strategy to improve operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and overall fleet connectivity. The rollout was preceded by extensive pilot testing, which demonstrated measurable improvements in bandwidth, reliability, and system resilience.
