OrbitMI, a global provider of maritime software and data products, has expanded its workflow capabilities through a new integration with CleanQuote, a leading vessel cleaning platform. This collaboration further strengthens OrbitMI’s commitment to providing connected workflows by incorporating vessel cleaning and maintenance data into Orbit Reporter via API.
Western Bulk, a company operating and chartering a fleet of as many as 160 vessels worldwide, currently utilizes Orbit Reporter to gather data from the vessels they manage. By integrating CleanQuote into Orbit Reporter, Western Bulk can now easily capture and access essential vessel cleaning data, improving their ability to plan and execute hull cleaning and propeller polishing.
"CleanQuote helps the Western Bulk Ops team plan and execute hull cleaning and propeller polishing," said Maria Dellgren. "By incorporating Orbit Reporter data into CleanQuote, we automate a previously manual task and ensure that important information, as Last Underwater inspection and Last propeller Polish, is available in all our systems when chartering a new vessel. This integration enhances our ability to manage maintenance schedules and optimize vessel performance.”
"The speed and efficiency of this integration are a testament to OrbitMI's API and documentation quality,” said Mads Porsborg, Managing Director of CleanQuote. “We were able to deploy the integration in just a few days.”
"This integration reflects our shared commitment to supporting our mutual customers and is another step toward breaking down data silos,” notes Ali Riaz, CEO of OrbitMI. “By integrating CleanQuote with Orbit Reporter, Western Bulk gains seamless access to vital vessel cleaning data, reducing manual work and enabling smarter decision-making. We continue to remove operational barriers, making it easier for maritime organizations to collect, process, and act on critical vessel data to optimize performance.”
Western Bulk is a global ship operator in the Ultramax to Handyside segments. With more than 35 years of experience, they have 4 offices worldwide located in Oslo, Singapore, Santiago and Seattle. They are operating 120-140 vessels carrying dry cargo all around the world.
CleanQuote is the Denmark-based market-leading vessel cleaning procurement platform. By connecting vessel operators and technical managers with suppliers through a structured, data-driven process, CleanQuote simplifies sourcing for hull cleaning, propeller polishing, and hold cleaning supplies.
