Bunge has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the grain elevator assets of North West Terminal Ltd. (NWT) near Unity, . T Saskatchewan, Canada. The agreement includes the grain elevator and associated storage assets. The fermentation and distillation facility will continue to be operated by NWT.
NWT’s grain facility has total storage capacity of 63,000 metric tonnes, making it one of the largest grain handling facilities in Western Canada. It has full cleaning and drying capabilities, and is serviced by both CPKC and CN, Canada’s two largest railways.

The purchase agreement is subject to customary closing conditions. If these conditions are successfully met, the transaction is expected to close in October.
