The city of Dehradun is set to make history with AAROHAN - International Maritime Conference 2025, the first-ever maritime event in Uttarakhand, India. Scheduled for 22 March, this groundbreaking conference is more than just a gathering—it is a movement to bridge the gap between industry and academia, fostering a deeper integration of technology, artificial intelligence, and maritime expertise.
AAROHAN is unique in its approach, bringing together three key pillars of the maritime sector—Academics, Technology, and Industry—on a single stage for the first time in a maritime conference. The event will serve as a convergence point for shipowners, charterers, operators, brokers, maritime colleges, maritime lawyers, and AI-driven shipping startups, offering them an opportunity to explore the latest trends, share insights, and collaborate on future advancements.
With the advent of artificial intelligence, the maritime industry is undergoing a transformational shift. A dedicated panel discussion will explore how AI is set to impact various aspects of shipping, from operational efficiencies to decision-making processes. Experts will discuss the challenges and opportunities AI presents and how industry and academia can work together to adapt to these advancements.
Recognising the significance of this initiative, AAROHAN is backed by the Indian government, signalling strong institutional support for maritime digitalisation and education. The event will witness participation from leading maritime dignitaries, policymakers, and AI innovators, reinforcing its status as a landmark occasion for India’s commercial shipping sector.
