BHP has appointed Mark Bendall as Group Investor Relations Officer, effective 1 April 2025.
Mr Bendall is currently the Vice President Transaction Analysis and Special Projects in BHP’s Portfolio, Strategy & Development team. Mr Bendall has over 25 years of global mining sector experience in natural resources investment banking across equity, debt and private capital markets, transactions, and corporate advisory across many regions. Prior to BHP, he has held senior roles at Macquarie Group, Nomura Securities and Deutsche Bank.
Mr Bendall will report to Chief Financial Officer, Vandita Pant, and will remain based in Melbourne.
Mr Bendall replaces Tristan Lovegrove, who has recently relocated to London, and has been appointed Group Treasurer, reporting to Ms Pant, effective 1 October 2025. Mr Lovegrove will shadow Stewart Cox, current Group Treasurer, from 1 April until that time. Mr Cox will transition out of Treasury on 30 September 2025 and remain with the Group in an advisory capacity.
