AtoB@C Shipping, a subsidiary of ESL Shipping, has announced the successful delivery of Astramar, the tenth vessel in the series of 5,400 dwt plug?in hybrid newbuildings. The vessel was delivered on March 12 and will sail to Europe with a full load of windmill components.

Built at Chowgule & Company, Astramar is part of AtoB@C Shipping’s next?generation hybrid coaster series designed for reliable and efficient operations across the Baltic and North Sea. The vessels in the series feature battery technology and shore?power connections enabling silent and emission-free port calls. Vessels have ice class 1A, ensuring year?round operations in northern conditions.
With versatile cargo-handling capabilities, the Green Coaster series strengthens AtoB@C Shipping’s ability to serve industrial clients with modern capacity across a broad range of bulk and project cargo segments.
AtoB@C Shipping has ordered twelve 5,400 dwt plug-in hybrid vessels from Chowgule & Company, and the remaining two vessels are currently under of construction. Megamar is scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2026 and the last vessel of the series, Luxomar, in the third quarter of 2026.
